Most plumbers I talk to have the exact same story. A homeowner calls in a panic, you drop what you're doing, drive out, look at the problem, price it fair, and tell them the quote's on its way. Then you never hear back, not a no, not a yes, nothing, and a week later you find out they hired someone else, even though your price was never the issue.
